Remember Children Learn By Imitation
Posted on June 10th, 2009 No commentsYou must have seen numerous parents shouting at their kids for their irresponsible watching of television incessantly. But how many parents can swear and say that we do not watch television when at home for long time? Yeah, many parents keep telling their children things that they themselves do not follow. This no doubt puts children in doubts about their parental decisions and commands.

Imitating their parents is the art children learn at quite young age. Even toddlers learn languages and other things through imitation. However, experts suggest that parents should always give clear cut guidelines to their kids. And while doing so, they should follow those guidelines carefully. If they are going to remain a bit flexible, same flexibility they need to give their children too.
This is an age of technology and every child has access to net. There are fewer idols these days a child can look at as a symbol of respect. No wonder child looks at their parents and learns whatever he or she watches them do. It’s of no use scolding child for smoking cigarette in teenage when his dad smokes whole day in front of him. So, it is every parent’s duty to understand the necessities of their children on all levels and behave accordingly so that we can build up a great society in future!
